Nominated Person Ground Ops (NPGO) is a required position within an AOC. It is an important position in the operations department and will be integral to building up the team’s capabilities as we move through Norse’s start-up phase ready for take-off in June this year.
Joining Norse at this early phase means you will be heavily involved in the shaping of the Company’s operation.
NPGO reports to the Accountable Manager, Norway.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Responsible for the maintenance of an effective organisational structure within the department
- Responsible for all ground and cargo operations
- Responsible for managing safety risks and security threats to aircraft operations on ground including cargo operations
- Ensure that operations are conducted in accordance with the AOC, and in compliance with applicable regulations and Norse Atlantic Airways standards
- Standard ground operation responsibilities including passenger handling, aircraft turn-around and servicing, loading and load control, dangerous goods handling.
- Maintaining the Ground Operations Manual and related procedures.
Skills and Experience
- Have a high level of knowledge about EASA and Norwegian safety regulations as well as those needed in the entire operating area
- Shall have a thorough knowledge and experience on all matters concerning ground operations including aircraft turnaround, cargo-and passenger handling and aviation security
- Experience from management systems, preferably in aviation
- Appropriate management experience, preferably in a comparable organisation
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics and/or procurement is preferred
- 5 years of relevant work experience of which at least 2 years preferably from aviation industry in an appropriate position
- Fluent English, both orally and written
