Responsibilities and Duties
As an international airline, we are required to collect, report and remit taxes to authorities across the world. As our operations and network grow, we are now looking for a tax controller with a passion for figures and getting the numbers right.
The Tax Controller has a key role within Norse’s Finance department and will assist in all aspects of tax transactions across the airline. This includes correct accounting, timely reporting and payment of all types of taxes across the different jurisdictions that Norse operate in.
This is a great opportunity for relatively recent graduates to enter the airline industry and to work in an international environment in Arendal.
Responsabilities and duties
• Work with calculation, approval, payments and bookkeeping of tax transactions
• Deliver a full range of tax compliance services in compliance with laws and regulations
• Ensuring compliance with domestic and international tax rules and regulations
• Ensuring timely filing of tax returns and related reports (CIT, VAT etc.)
• Manage and optimize the engagement with tax consultants
• Develop and maintain an overview of various passenger and airport taxes applicable
• Implementing processes and procedures to ensure proper accounting, reporting and payment for all applicable passenger and airport taxes
• Ensuring future tax liabilities are provided for in the book of accounts
• Manage and coordinate tax audits
• Support and/or lead various tax and finance related projects as needed

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education in economics
• Responsible, reliable and dutiful
• Structured and good order at work
Required experience
• Accounting understanding and minimum 3 – 4 years of work experience
• Motivation and ability to familiarize yourself with various tax related issues
• Planning skills
• Preferable some experience from an international environment – but not a must
• Good communication skills in Norwegian and English
