Norse Atlantic Airways is an airline that offers affordable fares on long-haul flights, primarily between Europe and the United States. The company was founded by CEO and major shareholder Bjørn Tore Larsen in March 2021. Norse has a fleet of 15 modern, fuel-efficient and more environmentally friendly Boeing 787 Dreamliners that serve destinations including New York, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Orlando, Miami, Cape Town, Bangkok, Oslo, Athens, London, Berlin, Rome and Paris. The company's first flight took off from Oslo to New York on June 14, 2022.
Introduction
In this role you will manage the 24/7 AOG Desk team acting as the main focal for AOG and deferred defect spares and materials requirements, optimizing spares support to help minimize the number of aircraft delays and deferred defects to meet the agreed service levels. Making a significant contribution to cost efficiency of the Norse Fleet, you’ll be responsible for overall co-ordination and logistical requirements for AOG and deferred defect materials to meet the requirement to service operations.
This role would be ideally suited to candidates seeking to enter into their first Management role.
Responsibilities and duties
- Acting POC for major component PBH (Power By The Hour) contract, conducting quarterly and annual performance evaluations, SLA accountability and negotiating invoices in alignment with contractual terms.
- Demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills, fostering stakeholder engagement and alignment within the UK and NO teams.
- Manage Rolls Royce Engine LRP care agreement administration, repair management, including invoice validation, initial provisioning cost analysis.
- Help to manage Supply Chain QMS for suppliers in compliance with EASA and UK CAA standards, ensuring regulatory adherence, KPI’s and overall Supplier Performance.
- Provide 24/7 support for Aircraft on Ground (AOG) events, ensuring rapid resolution and minimal operational disruptions.
- Manage supplier relationships for Norse, facilitating seamless supply chain operations.
Required qualifications and certifications
- Educated to ‘A’ Level standard or equivalent.
Required experience
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience, ideally within an Airline
- Good familiarity with Pt145 & Pt CAMO regulations
- Experience with PBH and parts contracts
- Purchase and Repair experience
- AMOS or equivalent system management experience
- Flexibility to cover shifts if required
- An excellent knowledge in Materials / Supply Chain Mgmt. best practice within an aircraft engineering environment.
- Knowledge of sources of supply for the commodities handled by the department.
- Must be able to demonstrate excellent negotiating skills and organizational ability.
- Ability to work to and deliver to very tight deadlines. Confident in working under pressure, you will be self-assured, and supportive of your team and the wider organization.
- Must be able to demonstrate the ability to work well on your own initiative and work well under pressure. Proven ability in Planning and prioritization of tasks for the position and the team. Must have the ability to lead a team effectively and concisely.
- An excellent working knowledge of EASA/CAA and FAA, Inventory control systems and Material procedures and the ability to understand Manufactures IPC documents and technical drawings are essential.
