How can I correct errors on my application?
Errors cannot be changed unless specified. If you are selected for an interview, missing information will be requested.

If you're unsuccessful will you be informed?
All candidates that have applied through the Flynorse career portal, will be notified of the result of their application.

Can I edit my application Training document uploads?
Unfortunately not. Please see question 2 for how to change.

Can I amend my cover letter? If yes, how do I do it?
Cover letters cannot be changed. If you have made an error and your answers were not properly submitted, please email us at crewcareers@flynorse.com explaining the situation.

The Careers portal has the option to add recommendations. How many would you like?
Preferably 4 - Recommendations from anyone employed by Norse, will not be used as part of the application process.

Some are still awaiting their vaccines. Can they select yes if they’re intending to be vaccinated?
The wording on the application has now been changed to:
Are you fully vaccinated for COVID-19?* Select 'yes' if you are intending to be fully vaccinated within the next 3 months

I have failed the assessment. Can I apply again?
If you have failed an assessment, you can re-apply after 12 months.
Application process

Are there tests for me to pass during selection?
At this time, you can expect an interview with Team Norse, a psychometric test with our psychologist, a group exercise and a simulator session.

Is there a simulator assessment?
Yes.

How do I update my documents?
If you need to update your documents, answer one of the emails received from our recruitment system as PDF. It will automatically uploaded to your profile.
Do NOT send documents to any emailadress within Flynorse.com. We do NOT have access to manually upload any documents for you

Do you have a phone-number or an email-address, so we can discuss my application in details?
We are a very small recruitment team which processes thousands of applications for the whole organization. We do not have the capacity of individual calls. If we have any questions or need updates from you, we will contact you. -
I applied for six months ago, and have still not heard anything
We do receive many questions regarding status updates and many of you are curious to know why you haven’t heard back from us. Due to the high numbers of applicants, we are unfortunately unable to provide individual feedback to your application-status. As the situation in the marked are rapidly changing, we are unable to share any predictions.

How is the future pilot demand in Norse Atlantic Airways?
We need more pilots interested becoming a part of Team Norse. We have hired enough crews for S23, but we have only crewed up 10 out of our 15 Dreamliners. This means we do have a demand for pilots for another 5 aircrafts in the near future.

I can only download one document for the requested simulator check, how do I attach the second document?
Please convert both documents into PDF format and then merge them together using readily available websites. Once this is done, download the merged document to the application site.

I have a new medical/licence/passport etc. How do I upload the documentation?

Flight hours

I am short of the hours required for the Captain’s/First Officer’s position, will you consider my application?
Due to the very large number of applicants, we are only evaluating candidates that meet the requirements for the position, at time of application.
Licence

Would Norse consider my application if I SOLI my EASA licence?
Due to status of the company, and the requirement to manage administration, and costs, only applicants with the EASA licences stated in the application form, will be considered.

I do not have the required licence, would I be permit to apply, and change my licence during the application process?

I have a frozen ATPL, but have the requirements to unfreeze it, is it okay to ‘tick’ the yes box for ATPL?
The requirement is to hold an unfrozen ATPL before starting OCC-course.

I have a lapsed LPC, can I still apply?
The requirement is to have a valid LPC before you start an OCC-course.

I don't hold a UK ATPL(A) or Part-FCL ATPL(A) from one of the following EASA member states: Norway, Denmark, Sweden or Ireland. Will I be considered?
There is a requirement to hold a license from one of the respective countries before starting OCC-course. The transfer process can take from one and up to six months in exceptional cases, and this will be the sole responsibility of the pilot to obtain.
Medical

I have an expired medical, which I intend to renew next month, can I still apply?
The requirements are to have a valid medical before starting OCC-course
Right to work

Will Norse consider visa sponsorship for non-UK applicants?
Norse cannot sponsor a visa application. All applications will be considered and assessed, at time of application, on merit against company requirements.
Rosters

What will the rosters look like at Norse? Can I commute?
Roster patterns are still under development. But, we do require flight crew to have the right to work in the country of base, and live within ninety minutes of that base. You can expect 10-12 days off per month.

Do you offer part-time?
Unfortunately, we do only offer 100% fixed contract. Part-time is offered if entitled to it and when available.
Type rating

Do I have a better chance with a valid type rating on the B787?
Type rated or non-type rated, Norse is looking for the right person. A person who is passionate and will help to build a high-performance culture.

Will they consider us without the 787 TR?
Type rated or non-type rated, Norse is looking for the right person. A person who is passionate and will help to build a high-performance culture.

Do I have to pay for B787-typerating if accepted?
If you are not type rated on the B787, there are different options depending on base and country. A training bond of 36 months will be issued and in some cases a fee will be deducted from your salary.

We have already started recruiting non-type rated.
