As Head of Technical Procurement & Supply Chain, you will guide a skilled team, oversee supplier negotiations, and ensure the efficient provision of goods and services to Norse’s engineering division. We are looking for a proven professional with extensive industry experience, the ability to manage budgets and contracts, and a track record of solving complex operational challenges. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing and providing leadership and direction to the Supply Chain Team, ensuring optimized Aircraft availability through timely provision of goods and services;
- Ensuring all aspects of Materials, Procurement, Component Maintenance and Warranty are efficiently and effectively controlled within the pre-determined parameters laid down;
- To be able to identify at an early stage, potential problems and risks, evaluate and anticipate implications and be proactive with all concerned parties in developing and defining contingency/recovery plans and actions;
- Managing your team and coordinating contract management within the Engineering Division to ensure contract consistency and ensure performance measurements;
- The production and updating as necessary of written procedures in respect to Technical Supply Chain;
- Manage and monitor all repair costs and approve repair charges on receipt on invoice;
- Ensuring the AOG Desk functions effectively to support Operational Requirements Ensure that all shipments overseas are in accordance with the necessary regulations and control;
- Ensuring that all Customs and Excise legal requirements are met in full;
- Responsible for the efficient sourcing and purchasing of all aircraft Component Maintenance Services within predetermined and agreed budgets;
- By necessity, ensuring economic procurement or priority requirements as they arise by methods appropriate to the urgency of need;
- Monitoring Supplier performance on a continual basis and ensuring that all Vendors/Suppliers have CAA/FAA and Company or other acceptable releases and meet the Company quality standards;
- The exploration of potential market source for new suppliers that could improve effectiveness, increase profitability or enable the company to embark in a wider range of activities should this be advantageous.
What we're looking for:
- Ability to manage budgets;
- Highly experienced in Management practices within the Airline Industry;
- Effectively you will have a minimum of 7 years combined theoretical and practical experience in Airline Supply Chain and Technical Procurement Environments;
- Good working knowledge of CAA, Air Law and Suppliers Procedures;
- Ability to work to deadlines and to identify priority requirements;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Fluency in spoken and written English, required as it is the primary language used for communication within the international teams and with global partners and vendors.
