We are looking for an experienced Payroll Accountant to join our dynamic Finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing payroll journals and related financial entries across multiple regions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong accounting skills and a global mindset who thrives on precision and enjoys contributing to seamless payroll operations across countries, including Norway, the US, the UK, France, Greece, Latvia, and Cyprus.
This full-time, office-based role offers the chance to collaborate with motivated colleagues and gain firsthand insight into how efficient finance practices drive the success of a global airline.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and posting related bank entries and accruals in line with accounting standards and deadlines;
- Reconciling payroll-related transactions and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness;
- Finalizing and posting employee expense reimbursements from various claims systems by the defined cut-off dates;
- Preparing summary reports of expense reimbursements for France, Greece, Latvia, and Cyprus;
- Collaborating with the UK People Team to maintain and update records for salary sacrifice schemes;
- Ensuring compliance with internal policies and local statutory regulations for payroll accounting;
- Supporting month-end and year-end payroll-related closing processes as required.
What we're looking for:
Required qualifications and certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent qualification).
Required experience and skills:
- 1–2 years of experience in accounting, payroll processing, or related finance functions (internship or trainee experience acceptable);
- Exposure to multi-country payroll or shared service environments is a plus, but not mandatory;
- Basic understanding of general ledger, journal entries, and reconciliation processes;
- Attention to detail and accuracy;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Fluency in spoken and written English, required as it is the primary language used for communication within the international teams.
