We’re looking for a Ground Operations Support Manager to join our team in Riga, Latvia.
In this role, you’ll play a key part in shaping how our ground operations run by turning complex aviation regulations into clear, practical procedures that teams can rely on every day. You’ll work closely with both internal teams and external partners to ensure our operations are compliant, efficient, and aligned across the network.
This is a full-time, office-based role where you’ll contribute directly to operational safety, compliance, and continuous improvement in a dynamic airline environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting our AOCs in delivering the company’s operational strategy through clear and effective ground operations policies and procedures;
Drafting, updating, and maintaining ground operations manuals, notices, and controlled documents, ensuring proper version control and audit traceability;
Translating regulatory requirements into simple, practical guidance for front-line teams and service providers;
Designing and developing operational forms and supporting materials in line with regulatory and company requirements;
Working closely with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure policies are aligned, practical, and support smooth day-to-day operations;
Identifying risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities through audits, compliance data, and operational feedback;
Overseeing activities supported by the Ground Operations Support Team, including systems, logistics, and contracted services;
Contributing to cross-functional projects and continuous improvement initiatives across the operation.
What we're looking for:
Strong understanding of aviation ground operations, including both above and below wing activities;
Knowledge of applicable UK/EASA safety regulations and operational requirements;
Experience working with operations manuals and regulatory documentation;
Excellent written communication skills with the ability to simplify complex information;
High attention to detail and a structured, process-driven mindset;
Confidence in collaborating with different stakeholders and presenting information clearly;
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools;
Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
Experience:
Proven experience in developing or maintaining operational or compliance documentation within aviation;
At least 5 years of relevant experience in ground operations;
Experience working in an airport environment with a strong understanding of safety and compliance.
Nice to have:
IATA Dangerous Goods Training (Category 7.3 or equivalent).
