Revenue Accounting Manager
Are you ready to lead revenue accounting and take full ownership of revenue integrity across a global airline?
Norse Atlantic Airways is an airline committed to offering affordable fares on direct, long-haul flights to popular destinations, along with specialized charter and ACMI services for tailored travel needs and extensive cargo operations. Norse Atlantic operates a modern fleet of 12 fuel-efficient Boeing 787 Dreamliners, serving a network of destinations across North America, Europe, Africa and Asia.
Founded in 2021, we are an ambitious, and fast-growing company in the aviation industry, driven by a commitment to innovation and excellence.
We're looking for a Revenue Accounting Manager to join our Finance team in Riga, Latvia. This is a critical leadership role where you'll drive the financial integrity of our revenue operations across all distribution channels and ensure accurate, efficient, and compliant revenue recognition in a fast-paced, low-cost airline environment.
You'll lead a small, high-performing revenue accounting team while implementing lean processes, automation, and strong internal controls that protect revenue and support agile financial decision-making. This is a permanent, full-time, office-based role where you'll own our end-to-end revenue accounting function - from payment reconciliation to complex ancillary product accounting.
What You'll Be Doing:
Leading and developing a revenue accounting team focused on productivity, accuracy, and lean process improvement;
Overseeing accurate and timely revenue recognition across fares, ancillaries, taxes, and refunds aligned to internal reporting timelines;
Owning end-to-end payment reconciliation processes to ensure all sales transactions match to payment provider data - resolving mismatches, chargebacks, and settlement discrepancies;
Managing revenue accounting across all distribution channels (website, mobile app, OTAs, third-party resellers) with strong cost awareness;
Owning and optimizing revenue accounting systems (Accelya, Navitaire) to support scale, automation, and low processing costs;
Establishing robust revenue controls and leading proactive leakage identification and recovery;
Partnering with external and internal auditors to ensure compliance and resolve audit queries;
Collaborating across Sales, Digital, Commercial, Operations, FP&A, and e-commerce teams to ensure revenue processes are clean, simple, and well-integrated;
Identifying and driving automation initiatives that reduce manual touchpoints and improve data quality.
What We're Looking For:
Professional accounting qualification;
Extensive experience in airline passenger revenue accounting with specific exposure to low-cost airline models;
Strong hands-on knowledge of e-commerce revenue, dynamic pricing, and ancillary product accounting;
Experience with airline revenue accounting systems (e.g., Accelya, Navitaire);
Demonstrated ability to design lean, automated, and scalable accounting processes;
Proven leadership of small to medium-sized teams in high-volume, fast-paced environments;
Strong analytical skills with the ability to explain variances and identify drivers quickly;
Knowledge of data analytics tools (Power BI, SQL);
Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
Nice to have:
Experience in other low-cost or ultra-low-cost carrier environments;
Familiarity with revenue protection and fraud detection;
Background in payment systems or settlement processes.
We Offer:
The sky is the limit - growth opportunity in a dynamic aviation industry;
Monthly salary ranging from 3800 to 4500 EUR (Gross), based on candidate experience;
Explore the world with exclusive travel privileges to all Norse destinations, plus discounted tickets with our partner airlines;
Premium health insurance provided after the probation period;
Gym and wellness benefit, with co-payment for sports activities after the probation period;
Modern office in the city center - Novira Plaza;
Inclusive and diverse work culture we bring together talent from over 40 nationalities.
We believe that culture will be our competitive advantage.
