Introduction to the role
The main tasks for this role include handling, investigating and following up on Ground Operations-related Safety Reports as well as their potential corrective actions and completion of compliance monitoring audits and management of findings. In addition to this, you will attend regular Safety, Compliance and Operational meetings related to Ground Operations on behalf of Norse Norway and UK AOC.
As Safety & Compliance Officer Ground Operations, you will work both with multiple internal departments and 3rd party providers. As part of the Safety & Compliance Team, you’ll provide recommendations to the operational departments based on your expertise and experience. The development of our Company Procedures is a continuous process always striving to improve, and you’ll be a crucial part of this.
As Safety & Compliance Officer Ground Operations, you will be expected to travel when required and lead with example and be an ambassador for Safety & Compliance towards all your colleagues.

Responsibilities and duties
Responsibilities and duties for Safety & Compliance Officer - Ground Operation include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Investigation of GOPS safety related reports including MORs
- Completion of GOPS safety related investigation reports
- Gather information for safety report investigations related to GOPS
- Create and/or contribute to safety publications (Safety Information Bulletins) related to GOPS
Required qualifications and certifications
- Experience from airline Ground Operations
- Compliance Monitoring auditing experience
- Knowledge of EASA regulations
- Knowledge and understanding of Safety Management Systems
- Knowledge and understanding of Just Culture principles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent computer skills and ability to use common office software
Required experience
- Experience of Aviation Ground Operations (minimum 3 years)
- Experience working with EASA regulations
- Experience with Safety Management Systems
