UI / UX Designer
Want to play a vital role in shaping the visual identity of our products and driving user-centric design solutions?
Detailed Job Description:
We are seeking a talented UI/UX Designer to join our innovative and dynamic product organization, Norse Coders. You will contribute to the creation of commercially-minded designs, help establish design systems, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver intuitive and visually compelling digital products. As a UI/UX Designer, you will play a vital role in shaping the visual identity of our products and driving user-centric design solutions.
Introduction:
Always dreamt of doing things differently? Join us at Norse Coders, Norse Atlantic Airways' tech and innovation unit, where we work on Norse's future competitive advantages to become a challenger airline.
We think differently and we act differently, that's why as an airline we are headquartered in a town with no airport. We are not afraid to challenge conventional wisdom and test new ideas. We are a data-driven product organization powered by a team of developers, product managers, data scientists, and a bunch of potatoes (a Norwegian term for people who can do a little bit of everything).
If these prospects inspire you, then we want to talk to you!
Main Responsibilities and Duties:
- Agile Design Practices: Contribute to agile methodologies within the design process, promoting iterative design, rapid prototyping, and AB testing.
- UI/UX Design: Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to design user interfaces, wireframes, prototypes, and interactive experiences that align with user needs and business goals.
- Design Systems: Assist in establishing and maintaining design systems, style guides, and component libraries to ensure consistency across all digital touchpoints.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with in-house and external designers, product managers, developers, marketers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and iterate on designs.
- Design Review and Feedback: Participate in design reviews and presentations, gathering feedback to refine and improve product performance over time.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, XD), Sketch, and similar software.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and rationale to diverse audiences.
Required Experience:
- Substantial experience (5+ years) in UI/UX design roles.
- Experience working in fast-paced, iterative environments, with a strong emphasis on delivering high-quality, commercially-driven design solutions.
- Experience working in an agile development environment and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in the aviation or travel industry is a plus.
Employees in Norse Coders benefits from the same great Staff Travel possibilities applicable for employees in Norse Atlantic Airways.
