Are you an experienced aviation supply chain professional who thrives under pressure and takes pride in solving time-critical challenges?
As an AOG Desk Buyer & Material Planner at Norse Atlantic Airways, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our Boeing 787 fleet remains fully operational, compliant, and ready to fly. You will be responsible for managing urgent AOG situations, overseeing the procurement of aircraft spares, tooling, and materials, and coordinating with technical and engineering teams across our global network. Your expertise and quick decision-making will help keep our worldwide operations running smoothly and efficiently.
You’ll be joining a knowledgeable and collaborative Supply Chain team, where your experience in material planning, vendor management, and logistics will make an immediate impact on the success of one of the fastest-growing airlines in the industry.
This full-time, office-based position operates in shifts to ensure 24/7/365 global support. The role is located in Riga, Latvia, and may require occasional travel to Oslo and other operational stations.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Support of Technical Operations;
- Liaising with Engineering and Planning in Oslo;
- React and support AOG situations by procuring aircraft spares and tooling requirements;
- Responsible for the procurement of Spares, material or tooling to support inventory and engineering defects around the network;
- Manage scheduled material requirements for planned maintenance;
- Manage scheduled material requirements for aircraft defects;
- Manage the logistical aspects of our orders and inventory movements with our freight forwarders;
- React to AOG situations to resolve spares and tooling requirements;
- Support aspects of our PBH and LRP contracts;
- Rotational shift pattern at technical operations at Oslo Airport.
What we're looking for:
- 3+ years of experience in airline technical operations AOG desk;
- Preferably strong working knowledge of AMOS;
- Preferably hands-on experience supporting Boeing 787 operations;
- Proven background in Purchasing and Material Planning within an airline or MRO environment;
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and negotiation skills;
- Strong commercial acumen and analytical mindset;
- Familiarity with aerospace technical documentation and compliance standards;
- A proactive, ownership-driven approach with the ability to work efficiently under pressure;
- Fluency in spoken and written English, required as it is the primary language used for communication within the international teams and with global partners and vendors.
