Maintenance Operation Planner

Maintenance Operation Planner is an important position in the Technical Operations department and integral to not only Maintenance Operations but Operations as a whole. In Norse you’ll be part of an experienced, tight-knit and highly qualified Technical Team with a great opportunity to develop your own skills. You're responsible for ensuring maintenance gets planned and performed at the required station at the required time and collaborating with various internal departments as well as 3rd parties.
Responsibilities and Duties
• Assure that all maintenance accomplishments are done in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Develop short term maintenance plan, and issue short time planning information and prepare work to the customers contracted MROs
• Rotate aircraft schedule according to operational and maintenance requirements
• Check that all maintenance and modification are performed, and that aircraft is released for service. • Establish communication with contracted MROs to ensure that all maintenance activities are performed according to the developed maintenance plan.
• Based on the maintenance plan, verify in cooperation with the Procurement department that materials, components and tools required for scheduled maintenance work are ordered as required.
• Follow up material plan for open defect of incoming aircraft to check
• Review performed work to make sure that all planned maintenance and deferred defects are assessed and planned
• Ensure all performed work is updated in the MMS.
• In this position you’ll be working a shift rotating between daytime, evening and weekend work followed by an off period.
Required qualifications and certifications to be successful in this role
• Engineering degree and/or Part 66 license, or relevant work experience in Aviation.
• The ability to work as part of a team in a sometimes fast paced environment and adaptability to short notice changes.
• Good English - written and spoken, and preferably, a desire to learn Norwegian.
• A valid work permit for Norway
Required experience
Engineering degree and/or Part 66 license, or relevant work experience in Aviation. Preferably previous experience from maintenance planning. Previous experience using Amos and/or PDC is beneficial.
