We are looking for a Group Accountant to join our Finance team. In this role, you will support group accounting and reporting activities across Norse entities, contributing to accurate financial reporting, reconciliations, and the continuous improvement of accounting processes. You will play an important part in maintaining strong financial controls and ensuring compliance in a growing global organization.

This is a full-time, office-based role located in Riga, Latvia.
Responsibilities and duties:
Day-to-day involvement in bookkeeping covering all Norse entities;
Initiates and facilitates ongoing changes to automate processes and procedures;
Responsible for advanced accounting functions including lease accounting and various airline industry-specific accounting items;
Ensuring correct cost allocation between different legal entities within Norse Group;
Involvement in Intercompany invoicing process;
Involvement in monthly closing process, including ensuring reconciliations (including bank, prepaid accounts, etc.) and correct documentation;
Close liaison with financial auditors to facilitate a smooth audit process;
Contributing to the Group’s periodic external financial reports;
Involvement in preparing the statutory standalone financial statements for the Norse legal entities;
Closely monitoring and ensuring that all accounting system integrations are working correctly, so that no transactions are omitted/delayed to be posted;
Assistance with consolidation of global entities in accordance with IFRS;
Supporting the Finance department in other aspects of finance and accounting tasks as appropriate.
What we’re looking for:
Minimum 4 years of experience, with at least 2 years in an organization with international presence;
University degree in Accounting/Finance;
Experience in IFRS accounting/reporting environment;
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills;
Experience in Microsoft D365 or other Microsoft Dynamics products – considered as advantage;
Knowledge of Latvian entity statutory financial reporting is an advantage;
Ability to work in collaboration with a larger team to identify and solve problems;
Ability to work independently with strong planning and task prioritization skills;
Fluency in spoken and written English for communication with colleagues and cooperation partners outside of Latvia.
