Revenue Manager
We are seeking a smart and driven Revenue Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a critical part in achieving our revenue targets and driving growth by responding to ever-changing market dynamics. Revenue management at Norse is seen as a form of trading, where agility, analysis, and strategic decision-making are key to staying ahead in a competitive landscape.
As a Revenue Manager, you will focus on optimizing pricing strategies and revenue performance, leveraging data-driven insights to make real-time decisions. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will ensure our pricing aligns with market trends and demand while maximizing profitability. This role requires a sharp focus on market conditions, competitor actions, and customer behavior to deliver impactful results.
You will also collaborate with stakeholders across the organization, including sales, distribution, finance and our broader tech functions in Norse Coders, to align revenue strategies with broader business objectives. By bridging traditional revenue management practices with innovative approaches, you will help shape the future of our revenue operations and contribute to making low cost, long haul a reality.
Main Responsibilities and duties:
- Revenue Oversight: Take accountability for achieving revenue and seat factor targets through proactive inventory management. Monitor trading numbers closely, intervening as necessary to optimize performance. Be prepared to take a hands-on approach when the situation demands.
- Hypothesis-Driven Optimization: Develop and test hypotheses based on trading performance and key findings to optimize pricing strategies and improve overall business efficiency and impact.
- Sales Collaboration: Work closely with the Sales and Trade teams to evaluate and support allotment requests, quotes, and sales opportunities. Partner with the data & build team to refine pricing structures and ensure competitive market positioning.
- Performance Reporting: Deliver comprehensive revenue reports on route performance, load factors, fare trends, promotional effects, and pricing strategy changes. Provide actionable insights to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Disruption Response: Support planned disruption management by coordinating and processing necessary adjustments to minimize revenue impact and maintain operational efficiency.
Required qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in revenue and inventory management from the airline industry, with superuser abilities in AirRM, Navitaire Management Console and Fare Manager preferred
- Familiarity and understanding of ATPCO, GDS, NDC and the broader Navitaire suite are desirable
- Experience with low-cost, point to point carriers preferred
- Interest and understanding of new technologies are desired, but most importantly is that you have a natural curiosity, openness and a problem-solving mindset
- Desirable: data analytics and modeling experience
